In order to reduce the level of poverty among the children with the disability or with special needs, EDNA sets strategies to empower them by building their capacity of education as well as establishing EDNA village education center. This strategy opens doors for the children with disability to have equal employment opportunity with the others, be competent in the job market, and ensure that the children with disability have the skills and professionalism as the others. For EDNA the provision of education service for children is the pillar of emergency response activities. Edna is highly engaged in providing basic education service (informal) for 492 vulnerable and needy children. Supported educational materials for 432 students, uniform expense for 30 students and house rent payment for 30 students for children in need found in 6 sub cities of Mekelle. In total 492 students have gotten support from EDNA foundation.
